Job duties and responsibilities associated with the Acadian Contractors, Inc. (ACI) Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist includes:
This position provides shore base facility and offshore as well as offsite land support.
The primary objective is to support our internal and external customers by advancing ACI's HSE culture, Management Systems (MS) implementation and compliance needs but not limited to the following; ?
Verify ACI and industry Safe Work Practices are implemented to achieve an Incident Free workplace ?
Provide Boots on Deck coverage at ACI facilities and other work sites; offshore, shale pads, dock locations, etc ?
Observe and assess Critical Crane Lifts ?
Identify and recognize potential hazards, communicate concerns to management and offer potential solutions ?
Respond to incidents and participate in Incident Investigations ?
Provide case management support and transport ill or injured employee's from work site locations to medical facilities ?
Ensure claims protocol is followed during incident response (e.g. on call duties, post incident D&A Testing, review of medical evaluation notes, release statements, status update communications to management and obtain documentation for records retention) ?
Assist in researching trends then taking appropriate corrective actions such as writing Safety Alerts to raise awareness and share lessons learned ?
Represent ACI at facilities or other work sites during Drug & Alcohol Testing ?
Prepare material, facilitate during HSE Meetings and training sessions (cross training with ACI internal Training Instructor for diversification) ?
Various tasks upon assignment may include environmental duties, PPE inventory, inspection of emergency response equipment and cross train to learn systems such as ISNetworld - RAV's or TQ verification Travel,
Working Conditions:
Most of the time the schedule requires Monday - Friday coverage at the ACI facility.
Periodic Traveling to offshore facilities in the GOM requires transiting to ports/docks/heliports across multiple states bordering the U.S. Gulf of Mexico shore line ?
Travel on motor vessels (boats) or helicopters are required to or from ports/docks/heliports ?
Must be willing to access / egress facilities by Swing Rope methods from motor vessels to the landing deck ?
Must be willing to access / egress facilities by being lifted on a Personnel Transfer Basket hoisted to / from motor vessels using a Crane.
Living accommodations at facilities include sharing spaces such as the galley (kitchen) area and TV room. ?
Living quarters have semi-private bathrooms and shower basins as well as bunk beds with locker space
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities,
Qualifications: ?
Working knowledge of oil & gas construction operations, construction, pipeline, marine operations OSHA 501 - Construction ?
Thorough understanding of Behavioral Based Safety Management Systems and applicable regulatory and industrial best practices ?
Thorough understanding of Risk Assessment, Incident Investigations/Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action development ?
Must have strong organizational and communications skills both verbal and written and demonstrate the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization ?
Must demonstrate the ability to handle simultaneous assignments with frequent interruptions and deliver proven resultsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
