00a-4:
030p) Job Duties include:
Accurate registration of hospital patients.
Other duties will consist of verifying and documenting all insurance coverage, scanning in identification cards, verifying the existence of pre-certifications/authorizations before patients appointments, validating medical necessity, answering any questions and explain policies clearly, processing Point of Service collections and assist Pre-Cert Specialist in giving estimates.
Previous experience in pre-registration, registration and scheduling of hospital patients preferred.
Outpatient Services Clerk Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Outpatient Services Clerk Physical Requirements:
Medium Work as defined by the U.
S.
Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients' rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas Outpatient Services Clerk Benefits Include:
